1. How to Configure Virtual Camera in Zoom, Teams & Discord

Advanced Virtual Web Camera installs a virtual DirectShow capture device called "Virtual Camera Capture" that behaves exactly like a hardware USB webcam.

1. Launch Advanced Virtual Web Camera on your Windows desktop.
2. Select your desired source in the main panel (such as a video file, desktop screen capture, or your physical webcam).
3. Open your conference application:
   • Zoom: Click Settings → Video → Camera dropdown and select "Virtual Camera Capture".
   • Microsoft Teams: Click Settings → Devices → Camera and choose "Virtual Camera Capture".
   • Google Meet / WebRTC: When entering a meeting, click Settings (gear icon) → Video → Camera and select the virtual device.
   • Discord: Navigate to User Settings → Voice & Video → Video Settings and select the virtual camera.
4. Your selected media or enhanced camera feed will now appear instantly in your call!

2. Broadcasting Video Clips as Your Live Webcam

You can stream any pre-recorded video file directly to your audience:

1. In the main window of Advanced Virtual Web Camera, click the "Play Video" button on the toolbar.
2. Browse and select your video file (supports MP4, MKV, AVI, WMV, FLV, and MOV).
3. Use the playback controls at the bottom to play, pause, seek, or enable Loop Playback for continuous video broadcasting.
4. You can switch between your real camera and the pre-recorded video feed with a single click at any time during a call.

3. Streaming Your Desktop Screen or Application Window

Need to present your screen without using the conference software's native screen-share tool?

1. Click the "Desktop Screen" capture button in the source menu.
2. Select whether you want to capture the Full Desktop or a Custom Screen Region.
3. If you choose a custom region, drag the selection box over the specific application or area you wish to show.
4. The captured screen area is immediately encoded and outputted as your live webcam feed.

4. Applying Real-Time Overlays, Text & Effects

Customize your video with professional or entertaining overlays:

• Text & Watermarks: Add your name, job title, company logo, or time stamp overlay directly onto your video.
• Picture-in-Picture (PiP): Overlay a secondary camera feed or image in any corner of the main video.
• Color & Artistic Filters: Adjust brightness, contrast, hue, or apply vintage, cartoon, and soft-glow filters.
• Drawing & Annotation: Paint directly onto your live video feed to highlight important visual elements.

5. Multi-Stream Emulation (Multiple Apps at Once)

One of the major limitations of physical webcams is that Windows only allows one program to open a video capture stream at a time.

Advanced Virtual Web Camera bypasses this restriction with its kernel-mode multi-stream engine. You can open "Virtual Camera Capture" in Zoom, OBS Studio, and Google Meet simultaneously without encountering "camera in use" error messages.

6. License Activation & Moving to a New PC

Activating your Pro license takes less than a minute:

1. Open Advanced Virtual Web Camera and click Help → Register License.
2. Enter the registration key delivered to your email following your purchase.
3. Click Activate. Your Pro license is verified and all trial limits and watermarks are immediately removed.
4. Moving to a New PC: If you purchase a new computer, simply install the software on your new machine and enter your key. If you experience activation limit issues, email [email protected] and our team will gladly reset your key.
